– Talent Agency

Wizzo & Co is a London-based agency representing cinematographers, production designers, editors, costume designers, hair and make-up artists, 1st assistant directors, alongside a diary service supporting crew across film, TV, commercials and music promos.

They came to Wired Creative with an existing website that had a strong foundation but felt visually heavy and difficult to navigate. The brief was not a full reinvention, but a considered refresh to modernise the site, simplify the structure and improve how users move around it.

We delivered a refreshed WordPress website with a lighter, more modern visual direction, a reorganised navigation system and a range of bespoke design and development features. The site now presents talent and services more clearly and supports ongoing communication with both clients and represented talent.

The challenge

Improving usability without losing familiarity.

The main challenge was improving usability without losing familiarity.

The existing website was quite dark and visually dense. Wizzo & Co felt a cleaner, whiter design would feel more current and better reflect the agency today. Navigation was also a problem. The menu structure changed depending on where users were on the site, which made it confusing and time-consuming to move between profiles, diary services and supporting content.

The site needed to prioritise talent profiles and diary service clients, while still keeping news, search and contact easily accessible. At the same time, the client had very specific expectations around layout, interaction and presentation, which meant much of the work needed to be custom designed and coded.

The design, direction and results

Design direction and custom development.

The design direction focused on refinement rather than replacement. We retained the core identity of the site but introduced a lighter colour palette and cleaner layouts to give the website a fresher, more modern feel.

A new global header was designed to keep the focus on client profiles and diary services, while still maintaining clear access to news, contact information and search. This removed the previous inconsistencies and gave users a predictable navigation experience across the entire site.

Bespoke sliders and custom video players were developed for the profile pages. These dynamically sync data from the profile grids and present video, imagery and supporting information in a way that feels structured but engaging. This allows each profile to showcase work clearly without overwhelming the user.

A significant amount of custom design and development went into the project to meet the team’s expectations around interaction and presentation. The result is a site that feels tailored, considered and aligned with how Wizzo & Co’s identity.

Conclusion

Confident and user-friendly.

The refreshed Wizzo & Co website delivers a clearer, more modern experience for both users and the internal team. Navigation is simpler, profiles are easier to explore, and the site now better reflects the quality of the agency and its talent.

We continue to work closely with the Wizzo & Co team on ongoing custom development, introducing new interactive experiences as the site evolves.
